I’ve been a Digital Designer since 2000, for print, web & motion graphics before specialising in UX/UI Design.
I’ve been a Front-End Developer since 2010 and am skilled in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, PHP & WordPress development.
I enjoy designing interfaces, building functional web pages and adding interactivity and animation.
My passion for design and my development skills enable me to create large-scale custom WordPress websites, with responsibility for all design and development requirements.
I follow best practices in UX design, I’ve strong UI design principles and I write clean, easy to maintain code.
I’ve been self-employed most of my career. I also work for digital agencies providing design and development services independently or as part of a team.
After completing a HND in Business and Marketing in 1994, I became self-employed in the music business, organising events and publishing a music magazine.
I re-trained as a Multimedia Designer in 2000. The Multimedia Design Course with Synergy Centres was a one year course in graphic design, web design, 3D, video and motion graphics with software training in Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightwave 3D, Dreamweaver, Flash, Director, Premier and After Effects.
I worked for a year as a Web Designer for Osarius, then 2 years as a Motion Graphic Designer for Molten TV.
I became self-employed in 2003, designing for print, web and motion graphics before specialising in web design around 2010.
I learnt HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and WordPress development with the aim of being able to create dynamic and functional websites. I continue to learn new development skills as technologies evolve.
